About Lift Bridge Coffee

Lift Bridge Coffee is located on the ground floor of Court House Square in downtown Tacoma, Washington. Fun fact- there is a post office conveniently placed next to this wonderful little cafe, in the same building! The Coffee

I’m excited that I finally found a place carrying Macadamia Nut Syrup! For this round, I went with a latte featuring that flavor and it was overall very good. The milk was a little on the hot side when I first got it which isn’t always necessarily a bad thing but I did have to let it cool for a couple of minutes. The syrup smoothed out the flavors and made the coffee an indulgent experience- I really love that flavor!

I also tried the “Sprout”! It was a rose latte with herbed cold foam thyme rosemary sage! It was part of their New pre-summer specials! This drink did not disappoint as it had a great amount of rose flavor in every sip and it was sweet, which is good for those of you who have a sweet tooth like I do. I would get this drink again on a hot summer day!

The food

As for the food… I wont say there isnt options, because there is normally but they were out of mostly everything they sell. I went with an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was yummy! Other than that there was a gluten free breakfast sandwich for $9. Its really nice to see that there are much more gluten free options out there now because this wasn’t always the case! Maybe next time Ill get that sandwich but for now- the bagel was perfectly toasted and exactly what I expected.

Seating Availability

The coffee shop has plenty of seats available, even during busy times. Many customers opt for grab-and-go rather than staying, leaving plenty of open seating. This could be because people prefer to avoid paying for parking for a long time. The seating is nicely spread out and great for families with kids. Despite a large spacious room, additional seating might not be necessary since most customers prefer not to linger inside.

Vibes

We absolutely loved the atmosphere of this coffee spot, mainly because it transported us right into the heart of downtown. At Lift Bridge Coffee, gazing through the windows treats you to stunning views of downtown Tacoma. The seating arrangement perfectly captures that chic downtown ambiance we were hoping for, evoking a feeling similiar to being in a stylish courtroom or bustling downtown locale.

Accessibility / Utilities

There are plenty of outlets along the wall near the seating area, making it an ideal spot to get some work done. It's best to sit closer to the wall to easily plug in your charger; otherwise, you might need a longer cord or an extension.

Regarding parking, there's no designated parking lot; it's mostly street parking. Just a heads up! You'll need to pay for parking unless you're okay with a longer walk from elsewhere downtown. We noticed many people opting for a quick grab-and-go, possibly due to limited parking time. On the bright side, this means that if you do decide to stay and work at Lift Bridge, it's usually quiet and not too crowded!
